On February 13, on the sidelines of Volga Agroindustrial Forum,
General Director of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone Renat Khalimov introduced the Agrotech consortium to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The Agrotech will include the resident companies of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone Innopolis and leading Russian agro-industrial enterprises, which will develop and implement the digital technologies in agriculture. To date, a total of four companies from the Innopolis SEZ and six other Russian companies have joined the consortium.

On February 1, the second stage of the IT-Champion contest for schoolchildren and their parents started in Tatarstan. The main task of the young participants of the contest is to involve parents and adults in the active use of e-services on the Portal of State Services of the republic and get the maximum number of reward points. The contest, held by the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the republic together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the republic is aimed at developing digital skills of schoolchildren and improve computer literacy of the population.
On February 6, speaking at a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Informatization and Communication, Director General of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone Renat Halimov said that the investment of the Innopolis residents more than doubled in 2018.
On February 5, in the city of Innopolis, at a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov and Director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia Ivan Fedotov signed a cooperation agreement on development of digital economy of Tatarstan.
On February 5, in Innopolis, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Maksim Akimov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of the Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia Aleksey Sokolov took part in a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Informatization and Communication.
On February 5, during his working visit to the Volga region, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Maksim Akimov together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Russian IT-university, where he got acquainted with projects of Innopolis University, held a working meeting on the development of Innopolis University and the science city in general and also discussed with students the future of the digital economy and IT education in Russia.
A summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Informatization and Communication, held at Popov Technopark in Innopolis, which will sum up the results of the Ministry’s work in 2018 and set tasks for 2019 will be broadcast online on February 5, 2019. The event will start at 14:00.
